Lalitpur, September 19 – Saathi convened its Annual General Meeting (AGM) today at its headquarters in Lalitpur. The meeting, attended by 45 individuals, including board members, general members, and key staff, marked a significant milestone in the organization’s ongoing commitment to advancing the rights of women and girls.
During the AGM, the financial and programmatic proposals for the upcoming fiscal year, FY 2024/25, were approved. These proposals are designed to guide Saathi in achieving its mission of fostering social development , specially providing safety , security and empowerment of women and girls faced with violence.
Additionally, the meeting featured an extensive discussion of the management letter from the recent financial audit of FY 2023/24. This discussion provided valuable insights into financial accountability and transparency, reinforcing Saathi’s commitment to responsible stewardship of resources.
The AGM underscored the need for several strategic initiatives to enhance Saathi’s impact. These initiatives include the formation of a strong program development team, which will play a crucial role in ensuring the effectiveness of Saathi’s projects and initiatives. Furthermore, a comprehensive fundraising calendar will be developed and diligently followed to secure the necessary resources for Saathi’s programs.
In the pursuit of greater effectiveness and adaptability, a dedicated team or expert will be nominated to handle both new policy development and updates to existing policies. The AGM also emphasized the importance of strengthening synergy across Saathi’s various programs to maximize their collective impact. To showcase its progress and attract support from stakeholders, Saathi will focus on documenting its achievements.
Leveraging its extensive experience, Saathi will develop social development products tailored to address pressing community needs effectively. Additionally, the organization will invest in building in-house expertise on the issues it addresses, ensuring a sustainable approach to problem-solving.
