Lalitpur, November 22 – Saathi conducted a two-day workshop aimed at strengthening its institutional policies and building synergy among the staff for better productivity and efficiency.
Saathi organized a two-day workshop with the goal of enhancing its institutional policies while fostering cohesion among its staff. The primary objectives were to bolster productivity and efficiency within the organization.
The event, held on November 21-22, 2023, gathered around 30 staff and board members, delving into critical aspects and strategies concerning the organization’s policies and practices.
The workshop reviewed the existing policies, suggesting for their updates. Moreover, the event also provided orientation to the participants on new organizational policies, making the staff aware recently drafted MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) framework and refining communication skills.
Participants actively engaged in discussions and provided valuable insights and feedback on existing as well as proposed policies. Additionally, the workshop delved into identifying challenges in policy implementation and suggested improvements, ensuring the alignment of policies with the organization’s objectives.
Moreover, the workshop incorporated team-building exercises to bolster synergy among the staff members. Likewise, a separate session on stress management aimed at achieving a healthy work-life balance. These additional activities aimed to create a supportive work environment conducive to productivity and well-being.
This workshop aligns with the “Strengthening CSOs and Amplifying Children’s Voices through Networking, Knowledge Sharing, and Action Learning for Promoting Children’s Rights in Nepal (SANKALP)” program. Supported by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and executed under the auspices of Save The Children in Nepal.
SANKALP aims to empower civil society organizations by enhancing their effectiveness, with a focus on gender transformation, climate responsiveness, and promoting child rights. The program further emphasizes protecting civic space to advocate for the rights of marginalized and underprivileged populations, including women, children, and sexual and gender minority groups.
