September 16, 2024, Kathmandu — Saathi with the support of FJS International, Ltd. held a consultation in collaboration with Shantimalika in Kathmandu as part of the ongoing civil society review for the Beijing+30 Report. The event brought together participants from civil society working on Gender Equality and Women Empowerment to contribute to a comprehensive national report on Beijing +30.
Ms. Suvekechya Rana, Executive Director of Saathi welcomed the participants and shared the objective of the program and highlighted the importance of review process.
Palita Thapa, Program Manager at Saathi, presented a summary of the draft report prepared by NNBN members, outlining the 12 critical areas under review. This presentation set the stage for participants to offer focused feedback on the draft report. Participants provided feedback on the draft report.
This consultation is one of several organized across Nepal, with insights gathered contributing to the national civil society report and global discussions on gender equality as the world marks 30 years since the adoption of the Beijing Platform for Action.
