Lalitpur, February 28, 2025 – Saathi prioritized the safety and well-being of the children under its care by organizing a crucial one day orientation program at our boy’s safer home in coordination with Nepal Red Cross. The resource person were Nabaraj Bhandari and Pukesh Shakya. This initiative recognized the importance of immediate and effective emergency response within our facilities. Twenty-eight dedicated staff members participated in this comprehensive training, demonstrating their commitment to the children’s welfare.
“The programs core focus was to equip staff with practical, life-saving skills. To achieve this, the training incorporated real-saving skills. The curriculum was designed to foster sense of preparedness and responsiveness.
Additionally, the training addressed the management of fractures and shock, common injuries that require immediate attention. A key component of the program also involved proper fire extinguisher handling techniques, ensuring staff could effectively respond to fire-related emergencies.
The primary objective of this program was to empower our staff to provide immediate and life-saving care to the children residing in our safer homes. Children in such environments can be particularly vulnerable, and it is imperative that our staff are prepared to handle any medical emergency that may arise. By providing this training, Saathi reinforced its commitment to creating a safe and secure environment for the children we serve.
Ultimately, this orientation program represents a significant investment in the safety and well-being of the children at Saathi’s boy’s safer home.
