Kanchanpur, June 23, 2025 – To strengthen the safety and confidence of adolescent girls, Saathi, in collaboration with the Ward Office of Ward No. 2, Krishnapur Municipality, conducted a 7-day Self-Defense and Digital Safety Training under the GOAL program, supported by AEIN Luxembourg.
The training, which began on 23 June 2025, is designed to empower 500 adolescents by equipping them with essential self-defense techniques, boosting self-confidence, and promoting resilience to prevent physical violence. A key component of the program also includes awareness sessions on online violence and digital safety, facilitated by Saathi, to help young participants navigate digital spaces safely and responsibly.
During the inauguration ceremony, Ward Chairperson Mr. Arjun Saud expressed his appreciation for the continued collaboration with Saathi and highlighted the importance of the training in enhancing the safety and life skills of adolescents within the ward.
“This initiative goes beyond physical protection—it builds confidence, raises awareness, and prepares our youth to respond effectively to both offline and online threats,” he shared.
This 7-day initiative reflects a holistic approach to adolescent empowerment—addressing both physical self-protection and digital resilience. By combining practical skill-building with critical knowledge on digital safety, the training aims to create a more informed, confident, and secure youth community.
The continued partnership between Saathi, the local government, and AEIN Luxembourg demonstrates a strong and sustained commitment to adolescent well-being, gender-based violence prevention, and community empowerment.
