Saathi organized a Parent, Teacher and Student Meeting at Dasharath Adharbhut School, Shuklaphanta, on 22 July 2026 under the GOAL Project (Generating Ownership, Awareness and Liberation: From Harmful Gender Stereotypes and SGBV).
The meeting was conducted with the support of AEIN – Aide à l’Enfance de l’Inde et du Népal and funding from the Luxembourg Ministry of Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs and the Luxembourg Ministry of Environment, Climate and Biodiversity.
The meeting aimed to strengthen the awareness of parents, teachers, and students about their shared responsibility in creating a safe, protective, and supportive environment for adolescents at home and in school.
During the discussion, parents shared concerns about the growing risks faced by adolescents, particularly online safety and substance use. They emphasized the need for active parental involvement, regular supervision, and open communication to help protect children from emerging risks.
Teachers highlighted that ensuring children’s safety requires strong collaboration between families and schools. They stressed the importance of parents staying engaged in their children’s learning, behavior, peer relationships, and use of digital platforms.
The meeting reinforced the value of regular communication and partnership between parents and teachers to identify potential risks early and foster a safe and supportive environment for adolescents.
A total of 20 parents, teachers, and students participated in the meeting, reaffirming their collective commitment to promoting the safety, well-being, and healthy development of adolescents.
