With support from AEIN Luxembourg under the GOAL Project, Saathi provided livelihood support to four gender-based violence (GBV) survivors between 23 and 30 July 2026, reinforcing its commitment to promoting survivors’ economic empowerment and long-term resilience.
The support was provided to four survivors from Shuklaphanta Municipality and Krishnapur Municipality. Three survivors received assistance for goat farming, while one survivor was supported with cow farming, based on their individual needs, interests, and livelihood plans.
Economic empowerment is a critical component of survivor-centered recovery. By supporting sustainable income-generating activities, the initiative aims to reduce economic dependency and strengthen survivors’ ability to rebuild their lives with greater confidence, dignity, and independence. The livelihood support also enhances survivors’ capacity to make informed decisions and pursue safer and more secure futures.
The intervention complements the protection, psychosocial, and case management services provided through the GOAL Project, recognizing that economic security plays a vital role in preventing revictimization and supporting long-term recovery.
Through continued investment in survivors’ livelihoods, Saathi, with the support of AEIN Luxembourg, remains committed to fostering resilience, promoting economic independence, and creating pathways toward sustainable and dignified lives for survivors of gender-based violence.
