June 5, 2025 | Lalitpur | – On the occasion of World Environment Day 2025, the children of Saathi’s Children’s Safer Home in Lalitpur came together to celebrate the day with vibrant enthusiasm and a strong commitment to protecting our planet. With the theme of environmental stewardship at the heart of the celebration, the children participated in a series of engaging and meaningful activities.
They kicked off the day with cleanliness drives both within their shelter and in the surrounding community, followed by tree plantation activities to promote green spaces and biodiversity. Creative expression flourished through art competitions on themes like “Stop Pollution, Start Solution” and “My Dream Green Planet,” as well as poetry and spirited debates focused on pressing environmental issues.
A short orientation on environmental issues and global warming helped the children understand the impact of human actions on the Earth and what steps they can take—like reducing plastic use, conserving energy, and planting trees—to protect the environment.
By empowering children with knowledge and encouraging them through hands-on activities, Saathi is nurturing young environmental stewards who will lead us towards a greener, more sustainable future.
