Kanchanpur, April 9, 2026 – Saathi, in partnership with AEIN – Aide à l’Enfance de l’Inde et du Népal, has successfully conducted a series of peer learning sessions as part of the GOAL Project. Between March 19 and April 9, five sessions were held across project areas, engaging 141 school youths.

The sessions, led by ToT (Training of Trainers) graduates, focused on raising adolescent awareness of harmful social and cultural practices that contribute to Gender-Based Violence (GBV). ToT graduates facilitated discussions on identifying different forms of GBV, understanding their roots in families and communities, and raising awareness of risks during adolescence.

Participants shared personal experiences and behavioral changes, with some boys even advocating within their families to end practices like Chhaupadi Pratha (menstrual seclusion). The sessions underscored the critical role of adolescents as change agents, challenging gender norms and stereotypes. Through school-level activities and community engagement, these youths are spreading vital messages to end GBV.

Saathi remains committed to empowering the next generation to foster a safer, more inclusive society.
